Mari lives in a children’s home. Her mother is dead and her father is an alcoholic. These are the reasons why 16 year-old Mari was sent to the home, just like the other children and teenagers who live there. Mari cannot cope with their rough behaviour and cruel games and attempts to run away, but fails. Tauri, the son of a wealthy father, steps in to offer her his protection.
